In August 2024, the first International Olympiad in AI (IOAI) took place in Burgas, Bulgaria, with over 40 teams from 6 continents. The U.S. team featured 5 MIT and 3 Stanford freshmen, while China’s Haidian students were also in the spotlight.
Our team, the youngest in the competition, won the prestigious Practical Round Gold Award, setting multiple records. Among them, a 12-year-old standout from NewAI became the youngest competitor, showcasing exceptional talent and determination.
Looking ahead, the 2025 IOAI in China promises even fiercer competition, with teams eager to share strategies and tackle new AI challenges. We’re excited for what lies ahead.
