Our Mission

Every kid deserves a real arena. We build the competition and training infrastructure for the AI olympiad generation — so learning AI happens the way AI is actually done: in the terminal, hands on keys, fairly judged.

What We Do

NewAI Classes builds the AI talent pipeline for the olympiad generation — proven B2C, now scaling B2B2C to schools.

Since 2022 we have run direct-to-family (B2C) competition training in Sydney; in the past three years, students from our programs have represented Australia nearly 20 times at world-level competitions. That is our proof of model.

We are now bringing that proven pipeline to schools (B2B2C), as three connected offerings: an AI talent pipeline for students, professional development for teachers, and campus-level AI lab infrastructure. All three run on one product — ICOA CLI — the classroom, the notebook, the exam hall and the competition arena collapsed into a single terminal, light enough for a $200 Chromebook, with keystroke-level integrity so schools can prove what a student did and what an AI did.

The problem we solve: AI-era skills are learned by doing, but schools have no affordable, fair, verifiable environment to do them in. Our market: secondary schools and national olympiad programs — starting with 200 invited Australian schools (students from 20 schools active within our first two weeks) and the 40+ countries accredited to the ICOA olympiad.

Team

Charlie Zhu — Founder & Lead Engineer. Australia's IOAI national team leader (2024, 2025, 2026); APOAI board member, recognised at IOAI 2026; founder of ASRA, the Australian accreditation body for IOAI and IAIO; led the inaugural ICOA olympiad, Sydney 2026. Students he trains have represented Australia nearly 20 times at world-level olympiads in the past three years.

Max Qi — Core Engineer. Senior software engineer with 20+ years of enterprise Java project experience. Robotics mentor and advisor across 14+ competition programs — including FLL, FTC, FRC, FIRST Global and Botball — and embodied-AI robotics advisor to DeepCybo, the hardware partner behind ICOA 2026's embodied-AI arena.

Cindy Cao — Co-founder & Operations Lead. Established the SIMCC Australia program as its national coordinator; has delivered 50+ Australian and international STEM competitions on the ground for Australian students.

Our paid interns are competition medalists themselves — including an ICPC gold medalist.

Product

ICOA CLI — a terminal-native platform where students learn, practice, sit exams and compete in AI: 28 curriculum tracks, server-judged coding and ML arenas, CTF and embodied-AI challenges built on MuJoCo, GPU training windows, and a built-in AI tutor.

Stage: live in production. Distributed via npm with 600+ releases shipped, it powered the inaugural ICOA 2026 olympiad in Sydney — 20 countries, Gemini as every competitor's official AI teammate — and is now rolling out across Australian schools.
